Write and personalize an email
Use the editor, add merge tags, and preview per contact.

Compose your email
- 1 Open an email step and write in the rich-text editor — format text, add links, and insert images.
- 2 For a pre-designed HTML email, switch to the HTML source view so your markup stays intact.
- 3 Set the subject as a fixed line or, if you use AI, as a generated one.
Personalize with merge tags
- 1 Type {{ to open autocomplete, then pick a contact, account, or project field.
- 2 Add a fallback for empty values, like {{contact.firstName | there}}.
- 3 Use merge tags in the subject line too.
Preview and attach
- 1 Preview the email for a specific contact in desktop or mobile view.
- 2 Send yourself a real test through the actual sender to check formatting.
- 3 Attach files (up to 20 MB combined) and toggle whether to include the signature or unsubscribe link.
